Anthony Georgieff fled Communist Bulgaria in 1989 and settled in Denmark. He worked for the World Service of the BBC in London and for Radio Free Europe in Munich. In 1996-2002 he was a freelance journalist in Copenhagen. In 2001 his first novel, "Vienna," was published to critical acclaim. In 2002 Anthony Georgieff became the managing editor of Playboy-Bulgaria. Since 2003 he has been publishing a variety of monthly magazines, amongst which is Vagabond, Bulgaria's English Monthly. Except for his work, which is also his hobby, Anthony Georgieff sometimes reads books and plays loud classical music in his car.
