ILIJA TROJANOW

In spite of the fact that he is best-known as a German author, ILIJA TROJANOW was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. In the 1990s he wrote several non-fiction and travel books about Africa, published an anthology of contemporary African literature and translated some African authors into German. His first novel, The World is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner, appeared in 1996. One of his most famous novels, The Collector of the Worlds, was published in 2006 and brought him several awards.
